This sefer, "Torato shel Shem," which I am placing before the reader today, is a collection of the fruit of my thoughts, the chiddushim which I innovated from time to time when it was incumbent upon me to ascend the bimah and deliver a drashah before the congregation on the Shabbosos of the year, according to the custom of the Rabbanim in this country. In this sefer, I am providing only the essence of the drashah and the chiddush which I innovated on a certain passuk in the Torah or on a statement of Chazal.Now, regarding the chiddushim that I innovated b'ezras Hashem Yisbarach, I will not apologize, because certainly the permission and the obligation rests upon every Jew to innovate and to explain according to the good hand of Hashem upon him.
